THROUGH HER EYES: FUTURE WORLDS

ULTIMATE FATE

This piece centers on ways the universe could end. Starting with the conditions of the early universe; particles colliding, creating stars and planets. Flowing into galactic collision and crunching into a rebirth of sorts. Then, dark matter and energy pushing everything into exponential expansion and eventual decay of all matter to an empty, dark universe where time stops. Concluding in a moment to recenter in the present and ask the question: what is the significance or insignificance of our existence?

IN DUE TIME

In Due Time is about the passage of time. Time in different parts of our lives can  feel as though it moves at different paces. Time can move fast, time can move slowly, but we are always moving forward, regardless of how the progression feels.

DÉJÀ VU

Deja Vu is a reflection on how history repeats itself. While an event or situation may not be exactly what you've already seen, parallels can be made. Our past experience defines our present mentality, and offers the choice to transform the future. Do we repeat the past, or do we change?

PERPETUAL ORBIT

This piece explores the connections between people over time. It utilizes cyclical elements and propulsive movement to examine the way that time can beget change.

The introduction sets up and dismantles the interaction between dancers who then drift within a space of perceived isolation before returning to what is familiar with aspects of newness.

THE VOID

Considering the future in a non-linear way, we zoom out to observe the overall cyclical nature of life moving from chaos to order and back again. We investigate in a trio the idea of past, present, and future, and how they are intertwined. In a short duet, we look at opposing forces necessary for balance, and a solo addresses the idea of singularity which sends us back through the cycle again.
