Nora, a Kansas City native, earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Conservatory of Music and Dance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. There she studied under Paula Weber, Gary Abbott, Mary Pat Henry, DeeAnna Heitt, Ronn Tice, Sabrina Madison-Cannon and David Justin. She had the honor of performing many pieces by her professors in her four years there. As well as studying at UMKC, Nora trained at the Kansas City Ballet Academy and was a member of the Kansas City Youth Ballet. Nora attended the American College Dance Association in 2016 and participated in KC’s Fringe Festival in 2015 and 2016. She has participated in the Spoken Word through Westport Center of the Arts with Suzanne Ryan-Strati as a dancer and choreographer since its inception in 2020. She also is a frequent local improviser with local musicians and poets, her favorite being with her husband Seth Davis. Nora is a teacher with Kansas City Ballet School for children of all ages and abilities. This is Nora’s fifth season with KC Contemporary Dance.
